[3.4~3.5] as others have touched upon already, novellas like these are not conducive to well-developed, meaty second chance romances, so their backstory reveal and eventual forgiveness were rushed and underwhelming in that respect. however! considering the lack of success i've had with NR Walker's recent releases, this wasn't a bad start at all. rounding up because nebulas and for the series potential!
