Is Nemesizing a real word...?? That's what Percy asks Cal ... If it means all the flirting and banter and absolute cluelessness about what they feel for each other, I'm all for it.
This book was so much fun, with loads of sarcasm and a whole bunch of entertaining nosy neighbors.
I definitely recommend to anyone who loves an enemies-to-lovers trope done well. You will surely enjoy this book!!!

Leo Loves Aries Review (#1) ~ Gemini Keeps Capricorn Review (#3)
I love how Anyta writes characters – I fall in love with them the second they appear on a page or open their mouth – and I love it when I fall in love with the character within the first chapter. It allows the reader to root for the character from the get-go. Not that rooting for the character/loving the character in the middle of the book or near the end is anything less than loving the character from the beginning, but you get what I mean, right? Yes, no, carry on? Okay.
The plot sounds simple – Percy Freedman returns to his aunt's house to sell it (after she passes away) but sees his ‘nemesis', (like extreme extraness, tell me more tell me more) Callaghan Glover, (I mean we all know why the enemies-to-lovers trope exists and I am here for all of it – it exists because the characters don't actually hate each other, they're just ‘nemeses' – please note the quotation marks) and because his aunt used to live in a cul-de-sac where the neighbours are super friendly, the result is a game that I don't fully understand? Like do they just allow their neighbours to go into each other's houses?
I think I loved Cal more than I loved Percy (Cal likes dinosaurs, I like dinosaurs – it just makes sense). Anyta also writes characters who are family-orientated – they have loving relationships with their families and I love this!
P.S. I thought what's really funny is that even though Percy claims Cal is his nemesis, Cal really isn't? So, it's even funnier because Percy's trying to maintain the fact that he dislikes Cal when it's actually him (Percy) just trying not to give into his insane crush on Cal – which just makes it so much better.
“Do you ever want to hook someone's gaze, stare them deep in the eyes, and whisper...liar?”
Sweet and sappy and I absolutely loved it. Massive slow burn with oblivious, in denial guys that are totally adorable together. Beyond that, I want to live in a neighborhood like this. Everyone seems like so much fun and they are just such a warm, interesting bunch. Really, the supporting cast reminds me a lot of the cast from cozy mysteries. Only, you know, without the murderer. And I have to make special mention of one of the characters coming out as demipansexual. This is only the second romance I've ever read where one of the characters is demi and I'm pretty sure this is the first one where a character identifies as pan. And I am so happy!
Anyta Sunday has developed a formula; two characters who are supposed nemeses which is usually down to a misunderstanding or trying to deny physical attraction, who then slowly become friends even though it's blatantly obvious that there is something more between them, and then proceed to have the slowest of slow burns until they just snap, have another misunderstanding, and eventually reach their happily ever after. Oh, and one of the MCs is gay and the other is bi/pan, and one of them has a penchant for something a little out of the ordinary. It's a formula that usually works though, as it did in the case of Scorpio Hates Virgo.
The second in her Signs Of Love series, it introduces us to new characters whilst still linking them to characters from the first installment of the series. Yes, I was absolutely chanting for Percy and Cal to kiss because their tension was real and undeniable. It wasn't as much of a slow burn as I was expecting going off other reviews, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of it.
We have Percy, our gay protagonist who is struggling with the death of his closest family member and a recent break up, and Cal, a masters student who takes on a large portion of looking after his family due to closeted family events. Percy and Cal snark and snipe at each other at every opportunity they get, but it's obvious to the reader and everyone around the MCs that this is very thinly veiled flirting. Percy is all for selling his aunt's property, moving away, and starting over somewhere new, but something keeps delaying him from doing just that, and he just can't ignore what's in front of him any more.
The only reason I didn't rate it five stars is because I thought the language was a little juvenile at times for characters in their 20s, and because I thought the reasoning behind them being ‘nemeses' was a little bit iffy, but this is definitely a solid and enjoyable enemies to friends to lovers m/m entrant and I would definitely recommend it.
