Sci-Fi & Fantasy Oil Painting Techniques

Borrowed from the library since this is OOP.

I don't know anything about oil painting, painting or even drawing. Picked this up because like the artist's heroes - Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta - I too have been drawn to their art books when I've seen them at thrift markets and found Jones' work just as intriguing.

The artist has encouraging remarks to new artists threaded throughout. Many progress images and information on the stages for creating several works, including some info on life drawing (a must), palettes, commissions, and how to photograph/work with models. Not a step by step how-to but more of a peak into the artist's process.
