Einfach eine comfort buchreihe. Xemerius kam in diesem buch das erste mal vor und er ist einfach iconic, genauso wie Leslie.
I've had a few days to compose my thoughts, and because it's late I will be posting the full review tomorrow. As for now...
My Thoughts, Compiled as Neatly and Efficiently as Possible at 11 PM on Finals Week:
- This book was not as good as Ruby Red in my opinion, even though I still enjoyed it. Really hoping Emerald Green is better.
- I! Love! Gideon! He is my baby!!!
- I'm still in love with the time travel. The party scene was just so accurate for that time period. I especially loved the part where Gwyneth began to sing songs from Broadway musicals because honestly, same gurl.
- The most interesting parts of the time travel were the scenes in which Gwyneth got to meet and talk to a younger, alive version of her grandfather. It was very emotional for me personally because if I had the power to time travel, I would go back in time to talk to my GG and my Papa one last time.
- shoves Xemerius in the comedic relief LOML pile with Cassian, Thorne and Kenji
- WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILER: I'm really glad we didn't have to see much of Charlotte, Aunt Glenda, or Lady Arista in this book and how we got to see more of Gwyneth's mother and siblings.
- And drunk Gwyneth is and will always be my favourite Gwyneth.
amazing as the first book. completly engaged in this story full of mistery and a fabulous little touch of love. I really love Xemerius, he is so funny, lovely and gentle I want the same !
I read this book in 6 hours! I literally couldn't put it down. I normally don't like series books. I think generally there is too much introduction and not enough of the bad guy to want to keep reading.
This is not that book!
Ruby Red gives us an introduction to the characters and the problem with some meat on it. It isn't all introduction. Sapphire Blue gives us a few answers and a few more questions. There were multiple parts that made me react out loud to what was going on. There are funny parts. There are inspiring parts. And there are heart breaking parts. The count seems even more dangerous at the end of book 2 than he did at the end of book 1. I can't wait to see how this ends.
