too cheesy for me, and probably my less favourite from this series.

I struggled with this book. While I loved the characters, we have assassin meets normal girl and they have a whirl wind romance until she figures out who he is. I mean this story was heartbreaking, I cried more times that I want to admit. The plot was absolutely perfection, the side characters were lovely and with depth for day. What made this a three stars was simply the pacing, I love Michelle Heard and this absolutely will not deter me from reading more of her books but god damn the pacing. It felt like some parts of the story were skimmed over while we have chapters that simply had no effect to plot whatsoever. I'm so disappointed as this book could have been an easy five stars but it was dragged to the heavens.
