Meet Daisy Winters. She's an offbeat sixteen-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair; a part time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who's nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond.

If you want fun - listen to this. Royals by Rachel Hawkins has it all.Royalty (duh), disdain-to-love, and - ohmigosh - fake dating.
It's some of my favorite fan fiction AUs all in one place. What more could you want out of an easy summer read?
To be honest, I'm not really into following up on real royal families. But this story about the sister of a to-be princess caught my attention so fast, I felt like I'd been hit by a car. In a good way.
Characters
So we've got Daisy, who is an absolute spitfire, and she is everything I want in a heroine - sarcastic, witty, and a dash of dweeb. In this first person POV story, we see everything through her eyes layered through a veneer of spunk that is, frankly, infectious.
Her older sister, Eleanor - pretty, perfect, and a bit prissy - is the royal in the making. Marrying the crown prince, she's lining Daisy up for a whirlwind of balls, skeet shooting, and scandals. But not everything is as perfect as it seems.
