I wish Saslow had provided more background into Derek Black's childhood and more historical context about the white nationalist/supremacist movement, but I understand that he chose the focus to be the few years of Black's life that led to his “awakening.” I guess you could say it is inspirational, but sadly I doubt there are many Stormfront readers who would carefully examine their belief system and be open to change the way he was. The book was written early in Trump's presidency; reading it now in the few months before the 2020 election are particularly chilling.
