I had an interesting love / hate relationship with this book. While I liked the premise, and the story, I really disliked the authors style of writing - I don't think I've ever been so frustrated by a book's writing. Some of it is hard to pin down - as an example it seemed a lot of the text and dialogue was awkwardly constructed. Some of the sentences didn't even make sense (probably like this review!), seemly cut off before they were finished.

No doubt I'm being unfair - I doubt I could write a book if I tried - but I was constantly infuriated by the text from one moment to the next.

However, I did enjoy the premise of the story and so I'll probably pick up the next book in the series.
