Holy moley
Jonathan, sigh, I've wanted to get into his life for 7 books. What a life it is. I don't want to ruin any of this with spoilers, if you've made it this far, make sure you go to Rina's website and look at the reading order, you need to start at the begining of the series, it means so much more this way! LOVE THIS BOOK.

All I have to say is what the fuck. Um the plot twist just had my jaw on the floor. Other than that, love the characters and the slow love they were building. Um but what the fuck. How do we come back from this? I don't have any coherent thoughts other than I'm starting the next book immediately.
Swoon Sisters Book Club Pick February 2021
Some parts of this book did drag for me and it felt a little ridiculous at times, but I did thoroughly enjoy my time reading it. I have a couple other issues, but I love how dark this book felt. It really just had an amazingly dark atmosphere. I'll talk more about what I like and what I didn't in my book club liveshow.
This is my first book by this author and I think I really ended up enjoying it. This is a dark romance. Jonathan King is domineering, possessive and sexy. He's the embodiment of alpha male. His domineering possessiveness did border on excessive at times which is really what bothered me the most about this book and had me questioning whether or not I really enjoyed it. Aurora is a strong female lead. She has gone through a lot in her life and has become stronger because of it. While Jonathan definitely intimidates her she doesn't allow him to have all the control. She pushes back. This is also pretty steamy. This is the first book in a duology and this one ends on a cliffhanger. I will for sure read the next book hopefully sometime this year. As I said this is a dark romance and could be potentially triggering to some so be aware of that going into it.
