Raindrops like teardrops. This author's writing style is simply riveting. I quickly realized that emotionally intense, deeply heart touching plots will be a trademark for Mimi Rhine. This one of the most painful, life altering and hard to accept bi awakenings I have read in the last few months. To find the strength to face your fears, to completely change your thinking and to embrace love even though it didn't come in the “package” someone expects, is honestly really, really a big challenge. But Matheo did it and not just that - he did it beautifully, with grace, maturity and absolute devotion to prove to Micki that love isn't defined by gender or societal expectations. Love just IS - it comes when you don't expect it and the time frame to realize that it's there, is so small, that you have to act fast or forfeit your chance of happiness. When Matheo and Micki met, it was like two completely different worlds faced each other and looked, because meeting someone so different than you is always memorable.
The story isn't easy to read because it touches some very sensitive topics but it's definitely thought provoking and interesting.
