Navigating the treacherous world of politics and dealing with the handsome yet mysterious pope, Emilia must also face the consequences of her past choices and how they will reflect on the future of Dante.

Meanwhile, Prince Thessian’s journey takes a dark turn when his new sword imbues him with godlike powers and plays with the memories of the people around him. Forced to serve a deity he doesn't fully understand, Thessian struggles in the confines of his new shackles.
