I had never read any of the Sue Grafton “letter” stories. I found this to be an easy read with the right amount of detail to keep my interest. It was set in a time before cell phones and I found it funny that the detective had to sit in her hotel room to wait for a phone call. It is easy to forget the challenges prior to cell phones.
