There was nothing new here, but it was certainly well-written. I don't think I'd recommend it if you are familiar with the story at all unless you want a refresher.
I recommend reading this book if you want to be armed with wild facts about Warren Jeffs that you can sprinkle into conversations whenever things are slow.
If you're looking for a book on the FLDS, choose Jon Krakauer's Under the Banner of Heaven. Brower's book is interesting and well-researched, but the middle drags on. The close of the book brings us up to date on the Jeffs' and FLDS court cases, and the utter fear of politicians to interfere in a “religion” is disturbing.
