Pleasure Unbound

4,5 - would have given 5, but I found it hard to get myself interested in the beginning of the book. When I reached the middle it got interesting.

I thought this was okay and I really liked the twist.

A demon hospital is an interesting backdrop and I like many of the characters I just hope the side characters I like don't all die!

Enjoyable start to the series!!!

This was definitely a fun read. I felt the characters motivations like they were my own! Seminus Demons make for steamy reading! I'm looking forward to the next one!

PNR, good. Not amazing, but good. demon slayer who's not a complete moronic heroine and demon slash doctor who's actually more of a gentleman than most. steamy and fast up to the end, when it gets sidetracked by the million other characters from the collection.

1.5 stelle.

Non sapendo da dove iniziare, parto col dire qual è l'unica cosa che mi è piaciuta di questo libro: parte del world-building, ovvero la presenza di svariate razze di demoni e dei loro peculiari poteri, l'Aegis (che li caccia) e Eidolon, in parte (alias, il suo carattere).
Basta, finito qui. Credo che quello che ho apprezzato sia troppo poco per dare due stelle a questo libro.
Quello che non mi è piaciuto:
- troppo sesso. Dopotutto doveva essere un romance, non un porno. Nella prima parte c'è una scena di sesso ogni 30 pagine, alias i protagonisti si vedono e a lui viene un'erezione e lei ha voglia di fare sesso. E ‘sti qua nemmeno si conoscono. I poteri dei demoni che potevano essere ‘qualsiasi-super-potere-immaginablie' hanno a che fare col sesso. EBBASTA! Siate un po' seri, cattivi! Siete demoni e non porno-star u.u
- Tayla: l'ho odiata dall'inizio alla fine. Pazza e irascibile: cambia idea una pagina si e una no. Passa dal voler farsi Eidolon al volerlo ammazzare. Il tutto con delle spiegazioni poco valide.
- La trama molto scarna. Quasi Tutto ruota attorno all'amore-odio fra i due protagonisti e alla caratterizzazione dei protagonisti.
Si salvano i colpi di scena che non posso spoilerare.

E' un vero peccato. i suoi libri dei Lords of Deliverance li ho amati, nonostante il genere fosse quello che fosse. Se riuscissi a trovare delle riassunti dei libri successivi, sarebbe una vera manna, altrimenti li dovrò leggere in fretta in furia per sapere com'è riuscita a collegare la serie Demonica con i LOD.

I was surprised with how fast I read this book. Ione did a great job creating and building the world. Well written. The characters had great depth and complexity. The reader gets more of a feel of the “evil” side and I think I would like to learn more about the “good” side. The story was fast paced but not lacking deepness. The plot wasn't lost with the sex scene. I was (pleasantly) surprised and loved how the sex scenes help build the background and personality of the characters. So what bothered me? Every other word had to do with how hot someone looked or every character thinking about sex all the time. But for sexy fluff it was a good read.

I loved this book. I wasn't sure about the beginning because it was a bit off putting at first. But I wound up loving this world. I am looking forward to reading more about it.
