Pint of No Return

I loved Trinidad and the shop. I loved the side characters, Papa Luis, the exes, Quinn and his brother, and Carlos and Diego. The solution was unique and it confirmed that I had picked up on some clues. I liked that there were some consequences to deal with and that Trinidad had some people to help her. This was a wonderful start to the series!

Just another meh for me. Didn’t get why the MC became BFF with one of the ex wives right away. And there were more than one person that said something like, “Well her ex husband cheated on her, that can drive them to murder” (not murdering the ex husband but going crazy and kill people), what?

Yeah, meh.

I never had time to fully immerse myself in the book and read it in snatches and bits over a period of several weeks. Even though I wasn't able to stick with it consistently, Trinidad and her cohorts remained fresh and memorable, and the ice cream shop just sees one thing after another, until it seems like she just won't ever be able to open at all! But she keeps her mind off her troubles by poking her nose where it doesn't belong in order to help solve her acquaintance's murder and clear the name of another of her scoundrel ex-husband's ex-wives.

Nice clean drama with memorable characters. This is a series I'll be continuing.
