I have an issue. Pete had red shoes (from the strawberries), and then stepped in blueberries, which means they would be PURPLE, not blue.
My youngest son absolutely loves this book! We read it over and over again together. He sings the song every time it appears in the book and takes great delight in exclaiming “Oh No!” whenever that phrase appears in the book. Highly recommended to read with young children.
So I um, read this in the bookstore...while shopping for my nephew and niece. But I'm counting it toward my books read for the year, as I did read it cover to cover (which I don't always do when shopping in the children's section).
I've always liked Pete the Cat and this visit to his world was really cute. Read to the same cadence as Twas the Night Before Christmas, it's fun and has great illustrations
I laughed a lot while reading this book, and I absolutely loved the moral of it!

Christmas read aloud with a flavor of the Night Before Christmas. Thanks to HC for providing a copy for review.scheduled: http://creativemadnessmama.com/blog/2012/11/14/pete-the-cat-saves-christmas/
