Interesting short stories set in an interesting world. I enjoyed both parts of the book, both the stories set in Xuyan and the stories set in the space with the Mind-controlled space ships. The unusual angle de Bodard has is curious, and it shows that she knows what she's writing about. I really should get back to the Obsidian and Blood series, as well...
