Entirely sane (or so she thinks) 24th century space-racer Diana Slowbane pushes her ship (and her luck) past its limits in order to bag first place, and in doing so, breaks the laws of causality and sends herself, her ship, and her AI companion ChaOS, hurtling across the Milky way and into Federation space, where she is the first human to ever meet any of the locals, and the first to demand that they race.

The locals are in for a wild ride when they meet Diana and her multi-ton nanomachine racing ship armed to the teeth and operated by a very illegal (but very helpful) AI named ChaOS. But that won’t stop her from making friends and friendly rivals as she tries every challenge she comes across, even if it means taking a detour through an asteroid station's corridors.
From high-octane weapons-free pod racing in desert scrapyards to orbital-insertion races and even a few runs down asteroid-station corridors, Diana’s ready to see every corner of the galaxy, as long as she comes home in one piece and comes in first place.
