Past Present Future

Meh. I thought the first one was cute (altho i cannot NOT picture Neil as Ben from Never Have I Ever) so was curious to read the sequel. Couldn't help but feel the big conflict felt a little contrived. I guess i shouldn't be surprised at how formulaic the plot line was?
