Novel (loosely based on true story) of an apartment in Paris no one had visited for over 50 years, since WWII, and was found to contain hundreds of priceless works of art in 2016. The story is about piecing together the mystery of who left them behind and why. That job fell to Flora, who worked at the Beaumont Fine Arts Gallery. Added to the mix, of course, is family turmoil (unknown until the latter chapters) regarding her brother and, of course, Flora's love life, or lack thereof. It's an intriguing story about the war and outright theft by the Nazis of art and priceless objects from the Jews, many of whom were put to death in the camps. I enjoyed the story and became invested in most of the characters and thought their development was well done. I consider this an easy read that will keep you turning the pages.
