Only the Dead

I don't know why I keep reading this series. The stories are really interesting but the execution sucks. So much time is wasted on describing the make, model, features, manufacture of weapons. I also don't need to know every tendon, muscle, bone, organ a knife goes through as someone is stabbed. It comes off as lame writing the author just trying to hit their word count. It takes me out of the action.

I waited a whole year for this book and it was worth the wait. You know Reece gets out of trouble but it's the how that makes it interesting. This book pulls some current world events into the mix and some Cold War events. IMHO, this is one of the best in the series.
