For a first-time reader of Taylor Jenkins Reid books, this novel was pretty good! I had no prior expectations for her writing style, so I went in with a blind eye and was not disappointed. I quite enjoyed her writing style and story telling and am really excited to read some of her more known titles.

The book itself has a rather predictable plot in regards to who the mc would end up with to be honest, but reading through the mc's experience of figuring that out was interesting to read (especially reading through her emotional journey of coping with love and loss)

However I did not like how easy it was for the mc to have the freedom of spending time with both of the love interests; it seemed rather unrealistic especially considering she had only 3 days to spend with Jesse?? I don't really think that that's enough time to find your true self and who you belong with and Sam's entire attitude seemed so artificial. The fact that he was the one to call it off and ask her to not call him cause he needs to be prepared, only for it to go the way the mc wanted and Sam wanting to fight for her??? It just amazes me how easy it was for her but good for her lmao
