Once Ghosted, Twice Shy

Too short. Why was this almost a full 100 pages less than “Can't Escape Love”?

Cole's writing shined through and there were some hard parts but ultimately it felt too quick to really connect with the characters.

This is such a cute couple!! The way the story is told is interesting. It takes place in the modern setting through Likotsi's point of view with alternating chapters in Fabiola's point of view in the past when they were together during book 1. It really worked for me.

A prince's assistant meets the woman of her dreams when she swipes right only to get ghosted by her shortly thereafter until a fortuitous train breakdown.

Alyssa Cole shows us what can happen when we take a chance and swipe right in Once Ghosted, Twice Shy~A Reluctant Royals Novella. Likotski is an extremely organized assistant to the Prince of her country who is busy chasing his own love and she has the weekend off to finally get over a woman she met over seven months ago (she could tell you the exact length of time). The train she is on gets stuck and her phone beeps. Seven months ago Fabiola was prepared to change her life to make her dreams come true and open her own jewelry store and then fate steps in and changes everything. This is a novella so I cannot really tell more or I will give everything away. As we live through the past and deal with the issues of the Likotski and Fab's present, Cole takes us on a tour of New York and to places I have never seen before so the emotional and the physical trip is interesting and at times fun. The chemistry is nice for a novella and I would have like to see where these two could have gone if they had had a full-length novel, oh the fun they could have had - you can just tell by their dialogue.

A little light on plot, but it is a novella, so. Likotsi was one of my favorite characters in [b:A Princess in Theory 35271238 A Princess in Theory (Reluctant Royals, #1) Alyssa Cole https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1501702014s/35271238.jpg 56629976] and it was so great to see her get a happy ending! This entire series is just wonderful and I can't wait for the next book.
