ODY-C Volume 1: Off to Far Ithicaa

An interesting idea, and colourful art, also brutal. I found it slightly difficult to get into. Also it was sometimes difficult to follow and to tell the characters apart, visually.

I love the concept of this series but I found the writing style(s) to be too discordant. You'll have occasional moments where story beats just flow but they are rare, at least in this first volume. That being said, Christian Ward's psychedelic illustrations are compelling enough to keep me going.
