I really wanted to like this one. It was fine. I'm rounding up a half star to 3. I like the character of Odd. It started ok - then the story gets lost a bit in the weeds trying to build a backstory for his dysfunctional family.

Short story. Good and quick writing. A fun read but nothing more.

I ended up not being a fan of this one. I like the concept and the plot in general, but the writing just isn't for me. There were some longer tangents that would lose my attention. Oh and the use of some of the women was a bit frustrating.
Interesting story though.

Wildly entertaining, creative, and the writing was fantastic. I've read other Koontz books before, but this novel really stands out. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

This was a great vacation read! It didn't take too much to get into, moved pretty quickly, and I didn't have to think too hard. I've never read Dean Koontz but plan to read the next in this series.
