I love the genuine warmth of Finn's writing style, the way he finds the tiniest bit of hope and positivity, even in the darkest moments of his character's life experience, spinning them into an uplifting tale for “ There is something good in everything bad that happens”. And of course the story has a generous sprinkle of humor, spice, entertaining banter, kinky exploration and two men who are willing to take a risk for a fresh start. I loved Richard and Ben and felt deeply their struggles and doubts before and after the unorthodox beginning of what was supposed to be a single night of fun. Richard never thought he will find someone to love after he lost his husband years ago, Ben was blindsided by his cheating ex. Two hurting men, came up with an interesting solution separately - One night to unwind! But it turned something entirely different. The transition to something deeper and meaningful was natural and flawless and made the HEA for the couple candy sweet without being too much. It was perfect balance between all the feelings and a light plot line.
