John “the Penguin” Bingham has written a book that gives me hope as I start my running journey. My first 5K will be 05/12/12 and his advice is extremely helpful.
Now that I've gotten into running, or am at least training for a 5K next month, I've been curious to see what's been said or written about running. This was a useful book for inspiration, long-term motivation, and tips. Bingham's funny and interesting anecdotes made the book entertaining as well.
I decided to pick up running again and re-read this book. It is quite good to read what He went through to become an adult athelete. He gives some really good advice. Some of it may be a little outdtaed but the message is clear.
If you are just starting a running program this is a great starting point. Anyone can get into a fitness routine it just take time and a little dedication
