Nine Women, One Dress is essentially a cross between The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Love Actually. The readers gets a glimpse into the intersecting lives of a handful of New Yorkers, all connected by a designer little black dress. It involved a little too much infidelity for my taste, but overall is it a sweet, lighthearted story about love and the situations that bring people together. A perfect book for the beach!
A quick fun read of an ensemble cast of characters all centered around their different lives and how they all come in contact of some sorts with one dress. I enjoyed all the characters and the short back and forth, hopping to different characters kept it fresh and fun!
Very cute, quick, light read. It's like a sweet bon-bon that makes you smile but doesn't fill you up. Wafer-thin characterizations but happy endings all around (except for the really mean people) and a nice homage to NYC and the magic of the perfect dress.
I received this book through netgalley in exchange for a honest review
This was very sweet and a fun read.
There are quite a few characters and many story lines so, sometimes it is hard to keep track of things. Personally, I enjoyed Jeremy & Natalie's story the most with Arthur & Felicia coming in a close second.
The slight connections to other story lines in other lines was really pleasant to see. Although, some story lines seemed unneeded. Then again, maybe it is to show life doesn't always change for the best.
There are funny parts, parts that made me choke up, parts that had me cheering, or even groaning over bad decisions.
Would I Recommend this book? YES! Such a light and fun read. I had a great time reading it. Any time I can read a book without being too distracted by my fiance watching LoL streams in the background, I definitely know that the book is a keeper!
