A heart-warming conclusion to a cosy story about acceptance, love and family.

Even though it gives you a simple story, with not much drama, there's something about this comic that makes you want to read on. It has well-developed, relatable characters, a warm, familial atmosphere and you get to watch one of the characters go on a personal journey of self-betterment - by accepting his late brother's husband, he finally gets to understand his brother - even if a little bit.

I guess I did expect more stubbornness on Yaichi's part, but I do understand why the author wouldn't want to write that way. In a way, the slightly homophobic family member trope (who slowly, yet reluctantly, comes to terms with someone's homosexuality) has been done too many times. Instead we focus on Yaichi's relationship to his brother and how, only after his death, did he realize the struggle gay people face. Yaichi is not some hero's obstacle - he is the hero himself.

Although the story is self-contained, I would love to read more of this family's adventures! Maybe they'd visit Canada? I don't know.
