Gio is one of my favorite characters now! I love how vulnerable and unsure she is, but she just keeps going. This book has a lot of natural world building in our. We get an idea of what Maratea is without an information dump. Paolo and Agnese are wonderful additions as well. The secondary characters give us a loving portrait of Gio as well. There are some good red herrings and good clues. In the end it all makes sense and is wrapped up nicely. I can't wait to read the next one!
