the most bland book i've ever read
insta love, no conflict, no plot, no nothing omg i was sooooo bored
She got to be really exhausting and meddlesome and that plus a lot of unnecessary description made it drag on a bit
This was an absolute swoony feel good romance you are looking for as your summer reads. This slow burn romance tells the the story of Evie Starling, who's life hasn't turned out the way she'd expected at the age of thirty three. Shitty job, no love prospects, her best friends starting a family, and a complicated relationship with her mother.
So what to do when all is going wrong is your life.Evie decides to pack her bags and fly across the pond to a quant small town in England. Here she discovers new friendships, new passions, and hopefully a new light on love.
Of course she soon becomes friends with the gorgeous farmer, Roane, where she avoids any possibility in falling for him. Turning him straight into the friends zone. But Roane is absolutely the perfect book boyfriend and Evie just won't be able to help herself.

Another 3.5 stars, this classic chick lit has all the makings for a delightful read: there's hope and disappointment in the beginning (so that you immediately identify with the main character), then there's, wait for it... a bookshop in England for her to run and, oh yes, you guessed it, a hunk who falls for her on day one. The description of the village is cute and despite the whole Shakespearian feel (it's not like she was hiding it with this title), it grows on you. It'd be a great movie, albeit one that has been made a dozen times hahaha. I'd still watch it. It was a welcome break of my crime/thriller binge.
