I recently dove into “Mistletoe and the Grinchy Billionaire” by Barbi Cox, a second chance small-town romance that had some charming moments but ultimately felt a bit undercooked. While I appreciated the festive premise, the plot was somewhat light and disjointed, leaving me craving more depth, especially when it came to the backstories of both the main and secondary characters.
The chemistry between the leads didn't quite sizzle as I had hoped, although I'll admit that the spicy scenes did bring a spark to the narrative. One major surprise was the significant time jump—what felt like a missed opportunity to explore the developing relationship more thoroughly. Overall, the book has potential but could benefit from a bit more development to really shine.
