Well this was a breath of fresh air. I've been wanting a different type of cozy mystery and I found that in Miss Morton and the English House Party Murder. I haven't read many regency cozies and I ended up really loving this one.
One of my favorite things about cozies are the unexpected heroines who come forward and really shine. I got that with both Caroline and Mrs. Frogerton. I think they made a great team and I loved them together. I sincerely hope we will see the two of them solving mysteries in future installments.
I also really enjoyed the writing and the mystery. This certainly takes you back to the “genteel” ways of that time period. I breezed through this one and am excited to see where the next adventure takes Caroline.
I sincerely appreciate Kensington Books for providing me with a review copy. All opinions expressed herein are mine and mine alone.
