A clever and fun concept: a brain implant that gives the user instant internet access and the ability to read minds. Who wouldn't want that? You can see where this might make the protagonist's life a little complex. Particularly when he didn't volunteer to become the world's first test subject.
The story is largely character driven, which is a big win in my opinion. The protagonist is likable, even if even he doesn't know his own name at the start of the story. I was excited to jump right to the next book in this series.
Great ideas
Good main plot. Good characters even if the mains were a little to perfect. Ok writing—too much explaining and some of the descriptions were done all that well. But I did enjoy the book. I give 3 stars for good books, 4 for great and 5 for exceptional.
You wake up. Discover that you're in a dumpster with a head injury and absolutely no memory of your past. The story goes on from there. From the writing style, it's easy to see that the author has a history of writing for the Young Adult genre. It gets a bit mushy with romance.
