This book had absolutely no business being over 500 pages long. I know people like slow-paced romances, I get that that's a thing, but no romance book should ever be this long. There is absolutely no reason for it. NOW THAT THAT'S OFF MY CHEST, Lilac was a mediocre read for me, honestly, and I think a great big portion comes from the sheer length of the book. Many, many chapters of this could have just been cut out and nothing would have changed from the story.
And yeah, I know you don't really read these sorts of books for the story but uh, it helps?
The characters are all fine, mostly stereotypes of rock stars, but hey, whatever. The sex scenes were extremely spicy, due to the nature of the book. (Reverse Harem – if you don't know what that means, it's one girl, many dudes.) There's men on men, women on men, men, men, men on women, etc. It all happens, basically.
I don't even know if I'd recommend this. Meh.
3 Rockstar Boyfriends? Sweet!
I enjoyed this book! Jericho, Loren, and Houston are all hot and complicated characters. On the surface, Braxton is just a girl trying to win over her new band but this story gets so much deeper and more complex than that.
3.5 stars
A good read, but the ending dragged a bit and I wasn't a fan of that last chapter before the epilogue. So very close to a 4 star rating and boy did this remind me how much I want to read more about rockstars ^_^
Better review to come... hopefully.
