This is another one of the books where the eARC Edelweiss provided me had terrible formatting issues which impeded the readability. Not the author's or the book's fault at all, but certainly a reason not to keep going when I feel the story itself isn't meshing with me.

I'm not a big fan of the narrating voice, and I cringed a bit at how the dialogue in the recording at the beginning was worded. So I think it's best to let this one go, as well, instead of sticking around and letting the formatting ruin my perception. I'm not enjoying myself, so I'm out.
