It's a fun story with good dialog. The characters are great. The plot and writing is not the best. But I do know Maggie's writing gets much better in the later books.
i'm finishing this book but DNF-ing the serie. I can't stomach the story.
I liked this book better than the Wolves of Mercy Falls books. Maybe it's just because I like the fey better than wolves? I don't know. But I enjoyed James, the best friend who is NOT gay (seems like every YA book I read that has a female main character she also has a best friend who is male & gay) and has a touch of the sight. I loved Deidre. She was shy in the beginning, but found her strength through love and the bravery of others.
