Il (mio) primo Rex Stout mi lascia un bel gusto tra le dita. Storia avvincente, in cui Stout miscela alla grande sia l'hard boiled americano sia il giallo deduttivo all'inglese per mezzo dei suoi protagonisti, Archie Goodwin e Nero Wolfe.
Anche grazie a questo espediente, la trama raramente perde di mordente o si impalla in balletti deduttivi troppo astratti o di difficile rappresentazione.
Non vedo l'ora di approcciare altre avventure del duo.
