I voluntarily read and reviewed an eARC that was provided to me by the author!
I am trying really hard to come up with what to say about this book without spoiling it for those of you who have yet to read it and it's proving to be pretty hard to do. I have quickly became a huge fan of Jillian and her books. Every time she comes out with a new book I am so excited to start reading it and that was no different with Kane.
Tyler Kane is the captain of the Philadelphia Flyers. As Jillian would say he is hot as puck and he has an ego to match. Tyler portrays himself as the typical ladies man but little does anyone know he is constantly having an internal battle with himself over decisions he has made in the past. Then enters Kennedy Lockwood. Kennedy is a feisty sports reporter who forces Tyler to open up.
Here's the hard part. There is so much I want to say but I can't without spoiling something. I loved Tyler and Kennedys relationship they are just so perfect together. The one thing that made me dock off a half a star is the fact that I was able to guess what Tyler was keeping secret pretty early on. While that isn't that big a deal in and of itself my biggest gripe about it is that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. The way Tyler acts about his “secret” all throughout the book makes it seem like its going to be this big awful thing but to me it was a very admiral thing. That being said I loved how everything panned out.
Jillian has done it yet again and I can't wait to read Donovan and Sydney's book!!
