This is a 100 pages play , tells part of Rumi and Shams's story , and how their meeting and relationship changed them and everyone else around them .
It has always moved me , how Rumi's meeting with Shams totally changed who he was . i am not to say if that change was good or bad . after all , he was only trying to reach a goal we should all try to reach, which is knowing himself and God , only to understand and reach the ultimate truth . Only god knows our intentions , all we can do is seek the truth in loving him , by heart AND actions and i believe that what Rumi and Shams tried to do all their lives.
The writing style was so good in this book , i actually was surprised by how the writer was able to create such beautiful dialog to be similar to Rumi and Shams's style .
Although this play was short , i really loved it and enjoyed reading it .
I Would totally recommend this to any one who's curious about Jalaludin Rumi and Shams Tabrizi.
Quoting from the book :
* Knowledge and happiness never merge in this world.
You have restricted your heart and body and soul from experiencing life , so you have become a prisoner of that idea/thought.I am no dust . i am no fire . i am no wind . i am no sea . Help me O God , help me know my self.
