There is almost no action in this book. Took me a whole week to finish because every time I picked it up, I found myself falling asleep. There is only 1 book left so I guess I will try to skim through book 3 to see how it ends.
So far it holds up in comparison to hunger games. Not as thrilling but much more grounded and believable. I will be finishing out the trilogy.
Every time I read this book series I struggle in the middle of this book. When it???s just basically Cia going around doing all sorts of school stuff and homework. And this time as well it took me a while until I got through that part. But once you are at the end and all the conspiracies stack up it gets really exciting again.
Especially the ending is so shocking and every time I read the book I totally forgot what happened and am caught off guard again. The book was along the same quality as the first one. And many aspects that I liked in that one returned here. But I am deducting a star for the slowly moving middle.
I didn't like this book, it felt heavy and tiresome to read. I tried to not skip parts of it but now I'm thankful I'm done and don't think I will be reading part three.
I had read the first one, so felt absolutely compelled to read the second. I feel it could have been further developed, though, and then it would have become something really original. As it was, it was just... good.
