A gorgeously illustrated collection of weekly columns that Elena Ferrante wrote for “The Guardian” over the course of one year. If “Frantumaglia” is Ferrante in literary critic mode, then “Incidental Inventions” is her commonplace book. The essays are aphoristic but brim with her trademark incision and honesty.
Loved these short pieces, which were written weekly for a year. Each one is right on.
