It really was an adjustment and I had some hard time getting used to the very elaborate writing style, the author's particular sense of humor and the world building as a whole. I have to say that while the story wasn't my flavour of reading, I did have a good time laughing and enjoying the original approach of the author and the attention to every detail while creating such a complex plot line. The vampires here were definitely out of the box - regular jobs, unusual abilities and interesting personalities. The kinky priest, the role play and the maze of relationships between the characters bound in one unorthodox family, were some of my favourite points in the story. Despite the hard time immersing into the book, I enjoyed it to a degree.
