I'm Glad My Mom Died

A worthwhile subject for sure, and the story of her childhood is indeed horrific, but unfortunately it's just not written well. It's more a “based on a true story” novel, rather than a memoir. Incident after incident, but without any introspection, which seems so odd considering the subject matter!
