My dark heart rejoiced while reading this one. It's exactly what I wanted from a het witch/demon series years ago and didn't get, so this was very satisfying. The writing wasn't the best, which is why it's not 5 stars, but the plot was just about perfect.

This book was so different than the first novel in the series but I loved it. Remiel and Phelan have a toxic love situation going on, but honestly good for them. They're still perfect together. Remiel is a new problematic fav for me. He is an ancient demon and his behavior matches that. He did/ said many reprehensible things and I still love him because I'm trash.
