If You Were Me and Lived in...Elizabethan England is a perfect book for homeschoolers, preschools, and or daycares!
If read aloud, it would sound like whoever is reading the book is talking directly to the listeners telling them how their life would be if they lived in this era. It reads smoothly and though the sentences tend to be a little long, it is overall very well written.
It's illustrated with wonderful pictures and has many interaction questions that keeps the young listeners interested and attentive. At the end of the book there are a couple pages that have pictures of real historical people that lived during that era as well as a little bit of information about them. There is also a few pages of glossary to define certain words used in that era and how to pronounce them.
This book makes for a great read aloud to a group of young kids and though a few parents may know that their history loving children would love this book, I do recommend it more to schools than I do to individual children as personal books, just because it works better as a read aloud.
So overall, I give If You Were Me and Lived in...Elizabethan England 5 out of 5 stars and highly highly recommend it(as well as pretty much all of Carole's books).
