Hunting Annabelle

This was decent. I thought the author pulled some punches in areas the story could have been exploited for an even darker narrative; though I don't fault her for that. She kept the tone at the appropriate popular fiction level and it was entertaining.

I found much of the plot predictable but that, oddly, didn't diminish how much I enjoyed it. Mostly because, as a lover of crime fiction, I was eager to see how daring the author would be about wrapping up certain details.

I did really like it, solid plot and a good take on this genre. The end was weird to me a bit, I know it’s “in character” but I don’t know… it was just a bit hmm. Also what happened with Dr. Suh? We never really get closure on her character.

This book was super entertaining. The writing was great. The characters were interesting. It was well paced. The plot was engaging and full of twists and turns. I would have given it 5-Stars, but I thought the “twist” was a little far-fetched, and what in the heck happened to his Mom?? Other than that this was a great read.
