This book provided great insight into a lot of what we call “success stories”. The internet was a slow but gradual journey that took place over the course over a few decades. It helps give a lot of perspective in relation to where we are in crypto.
Not so deep research. More riding the hype than providing any new content. The end was a bit nuanced saying iPhone was not the first smartphone. But just looking past that iPhone was not the first of its form factor. Though it revolutionised many peoples lives It was due to marketing and brand. Looking past obvious things like this. Make me think about what else was missed.
A very dry but accurate depiction of the internet era. Not much new if you followed/lived this era, but will be very useful for young/future generations and everyone not yet familiar with the history of the internet.
Can recommend if you have gotten an interest in this topic recently, but if you've been following this closely all your life, feel free to skip it.
Very well done contemporary history. It has been a wild ride.
The audio narration by Timothy Andrés Pabon was quite well done.
