Hired Help

A short story, most of which takes place in a single afternoon. Harper Bliss really knows how to write her sex scenes, but I feel like putting them all in one place is a bit overwhelming. To be fair, I had a feeling it would be like this, so I read each “scene” on a different day, and I think that helped me appreciate the story more.

I have some reservations regarding Scarlett's method of creating a false sense of love with her customers. Isn't it emotionally damaging to both the customer and Scarlett herself? Then again, this is supposed to be a kind of erotic fantasy that unleashes emotions and desire, and such stories don't always conform to realistic psychology, which, in a way, makes them work better as sexual fantasies.
