Five young men and women saved from destrustion by an ancient master of wind and lightning, placed in the care of wise and loving teachers: Culter: tough street fighter who tames a mystic blade. Lyca: golden-eyed forest-dweller who learns the way of the wolf. Sax: giant stone mason who taps the strength of the stones. Jason: bitter red man in a white man's world; his hand can heal,or kill. Flos: softer than the others, but wise in the way of growing things.
